I arrived here in korea by ship(stowed away) on humanitarian reasons in 2002.i reported at the immigration office in mogdong for refugee status around may 2002.i was asked to write my statement,which i did and was issued a one year grace period which was given to all immigrant in korea at that time.i was not able to extend during the following year cause i couldnt meet the deadline when i got my missing passport replaced with new one.
i am now married to a korean citizen and therefore looking forward to change my visa status but dont know if im qualified with my current status? i will be grateful if your office can give some information about how to handle my case?looking forward.
